Tion Wayne’s “Healing” video pays tribute to the late Sidhu Moose Wala

UK rapper Tion Wayne has paid tribute to the late Punjabi singer and songwriter Sidhu Moose Wala in his latest music video for the track “Healing”. The video, directed by Kirx Diaz, features a range of cinematic shots, as Tion Wayne walks through the streets of Southall in West London, interspersed with footage of Moose Wala performing on stage and in the studio.

Moose Wala, who passed away in May 2021 at the age of 28, was a rising star in the Punjabi music scene, known for his socially conscious lyrics and fusion of traditional and modern styles. His death was a shock to fans around the world, and the music industry mourned the loss of a young talent with so much potential.

In the “Healing” video, Tion Wayne pays his respects to Moose Wala, both in the lyrics and visuals of the song. The chorus includes the line, “Rest in peace to Sidhu Moose Wala”, and the footage of Moose Wala performing is a poignant reminder of the impact he had on the music world.

Tion Wayne himself has become one of the UK’s most successful rappers, with hits including “Body” and “I Dunno”. His collaboration with Russ Millions, “Body”, went viral on TikTok and became the first drill track to top the UK singles chart.

The “Healing” video is a fitting tribute to Moose Wala, and a reminder of the enduring influence that artists can have on each other, even across different cultures and genres. Tion Wayne’s heartfelt tribute shows that music has the power to heal, even in the face of tragedy.
