Kenya’s upcoming Hip-Hop artist Elisha Elai drops new visuals off his single “Logo Ya Nike”.
Elisha Elai is a fast-rising HipHop artist born and raised in Dandora, in Nairobi City. Elai started doing music back in primary school, which he attributes to inspiration from Kenya’s iconic HipHop group Kalamashaka and Ukoo Flani Mau Mau who were the biggest acts at that time.
Elisha Elai won breakthrough artist of the year at Unkut Hennessy Hip-hop award in 2020, thereafter, he ended up collaborating with one of the biggest rap groups Wakadinali on a track called “Avoid Those People” which features other acts like Boutross, Abbas, Breeder and Dyana Cods,
Elisha Elai “Logo Ya Nike” CoverArtIn 2021, the rapper was the second runners up on a competition called Odinare challenge which was organized by rapper Khaligraph Jones and was later featured on Khaligraph Jones track “Khali Cartel 4” earning him more stars among new fans. Among other acts Elai has worked with include; Tanzanian rap legend and Kenya’s iconic MC and one of the Kalamashaka trio Johnny Vigeti to name a few.
Elai is a display of consistency and discipline and highly touted as the future of Kenyan HipHop.
