Wangechi Returns With New Album In Collaboration With Scar Mkadinali

The New Album Dubbed 'Chonjo' Is A Riveting 6-Track Project

After what seems like eons, sensational Kenyan rapper Wangechi has packaged a new project featuring one of the Wakadinali trio Scar Mkadinali, from chart-topping Kenyan rap group from Nairobi’s Eastlands.

The project recently released on all major platforms has the duo trading bars on the 6 songs that will leave you yearning for more.

Wangechi announced the project sometime last month, with all indications that she will be putting forth a project that would stand the taste of time and true to her promise, the album is a positive affirmation of her skill as a rapper and damn good artist.

Scar who gracefully offers his hand on the much-awaited project, rocks his signature abrasive delivery-albeit-laid-back skillfully blending with Wangechi’s unique relaxed but blunt, lyrical mastery depicting patience as if to define the title of the album ‘Chonjo’. The title of the project is in Swahili which loosely translates to ‘stay alert’ in English or ‘with finesse’ in Kenya’s urban slang Sheng.

Other features on the project are: singer Wendy Kay & rappers Domani and Sewersydaa both from Wakadinali. The project was produced by Benzonit and Aress66
