The award targeting writers from across Africa will close its doors for entries March 31.

African writers are now free to submit their work for this year Writivism 2018 Short Story Prize following the announcement of the opening and the release of submission guidelines for 2018.

The award allows online entries from unpublished writers to submit their works for the 2018, be featured in an anthology and attend the Festival which will be held in Kampala, Uganda.

Writivism 2018 Short Story Prize now in its sixth year boasts of supporting literary careers for hundreds of emerging African writers.

The 2018 award is administered by the Centre for African Cultural Excellence (CACE) and sponsored by The Story Club Malawi

Participants will each be awarded $100 (USD) cash, with the winner taking home $500 and may be considered for a one month writing residency at a university in an African country.
