Multitalented Kenyan musician Maia Von Lekow has released her new single ‘Lola’ off her upcoming album “Maia and the Big Sky”.
‘Lola’ is a classic Maia sound composition fusing multifarious African rhythms, folk, jazz, soul and funk elements creating that amorous chill sound. The single loads mollifying guitar-drenched patterns in boastful bass spicing it up with bubbly percussions. She has managed to create a seemingly effortless dynamic tone crusted with simplicity and her lively vocals.
The ditty was co-written by Chris King and features drummer Amani Baya, Radanz Nirina on bass, Tugi Mlamba and Thibaut Remmy works on the electric guitar, Maia plays the guitar and Wakake Otieno’s input on percussions. “Lola” was produced by Circle and Square Productions.
