Kenyan jazz artiste Aaron Rimbui launches his new album titled Deeper and its all about hitting the right keys.
The third album by the talented pianist features artists like: Eddie Grey, Eric Wainaina, Kato Change, Kanji Mbugua, Bien Aime Baraza and Benjamin Kabaseke.
“Hafungi macho”, is a well packaged rendition of gospel-pop hit single by Daddy Owen and Danco with the same title. Eric Wainaina joins the project on “Nani Nani”which bears the acapellas and the finger snaps, handclaps intertwined with the great vocals from Wainaina. Rimbui works with Sauti Sol’s Bien and Kato Change once again on “Simama” an excellent composition that would turn out great without vocals nevertheless, Bien still works magic with his signature style. “Mugithi Hybrid” is a jazz rendition of a popular Kikuyu song (From people of Central Kenya) the track composed by Rimbui features Eddie Grey’s undistinguished guitar skills which resonate well with the percussions.
Swahili and English are the most prominent languages used by the artistes and bits of Luhya (language from Western Kenya)
Prepare to be blown away by the excellent drum work.
